This Interviewing Skills for Managers course is for any manager or HR professional who undertakes interviews for recruitment, appraisals or disciplinary hearings.

Description

This Interviewing Skills for Managers workshop will teach you how to control an interview and how to use listening and questioning techniques in a constructive way.

You will learn how to probe with the right questions to get the interviewees talking, how to get all the facts, and how to clarify the information.


You will also learn how to make the right decisions using the head rather than the heart.

  • How to create the appropriate environment
  • Building rapport
  • Effective questioning with empathy and understanding
  • Effective listening skills which will facilitate communication
  • Recording and evaluating interview information to make a decision or recommendation
  • Capability based interviewing approach for selection

Course duration

1 day, normally between 9:30 and 4:30

This course is offered as an in-house option either at your offices or at one of our prestigious venues. If you choose to use one of our venues, room  hire and catering will be charged at our specially negotiated rates.

The cost of an in house course including all training materials for up to 12 delegates is £1,195 plus travel + VAT.
